MARCH - APRIL, THE WINDS CAFE, YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO
I am pleased to be collaborating again with friends Allyson Mushovic Shank and Linda Phillips. Allyson incorporates welded steel, stones, bones, and any number of interesting materials into her fascinating mixed-media sculptures. Linda, a talented photographer, has been on a creative tear lately. In what she calls her "Whimsies" series, she collages photography and other elements into really cool, surreal mixed-media pieces. I love the way their pieces juxtapose with my somewhat more traditional oil paintings. Join us for a good food, good drinks, and good conversations at the closing reception on April 26 from 2-4.

"Close to Home explores the ways place, memory, and familiarity shape our sense of connection and belonging. The works in this exhibition reflect both personal and shared experiences of 'home,' understood not only as a physical location, but also as an emotional, psychological, and symbolic space. Closing reception March 28, 1-4.
